BMW X7 Maintenance Schedule

BMW X7 Maintenance ScheduleWhen you drive off the lot for the first time in a BMW X7, it’s easy to be excited. After all, you’ve just taken the wheel of a powerful SUV that’s going to change the way you look at your Stratham, Portsmouth, and Exeter drives.

To ensure those drives are the ones you want to have for years to come, be sure to take care of your BMW. Our BMW of Stratham BMW X7 maintenance schedule lets you know when it’s time to visit us for service, so your car is cared for throughout its useful life.

Maintenance for Your BMW X7

BMW X7 Maintenance ScheduleWe’ve taken some time to put together a maintenance schedule for your BMW X7. We provide the mileage intervals and talk about some of the services that should be completed when the odometer hits these numbers. Routine maintenance is important, so be sure to stay up to date with it.

10,000 Miles

This is the first maintenance visit you’ll have. It’s time to change the oil, and the oil filter, too. With fresh oil, the engine parts are properly lubricated, so the car starts up and runs properly.

We’ll also top off coolant levels. Coolant maintains efficiency of the X7 and prevents the vehicle from overheating.

20,000 Miles

Clean fuel is needed so the engine performs as it should. Fuel filters clean the fuel and make sure it’s flowing into the engine and combustion chamber. We’ll check the fuel filter at this point and replace it if needed.

30,000 Miles

BMW X7 Maintenance ScheduleNumerous components receive a look at this stage. We’ll look to see that the exhaust system is properly positioned and working as it should.

Brake pad thickness will be checked, too. Brake pads typically last somewhere between 30,000-40,000 miles and may need to be replaced at this stage.

60,000 Miles

As time goes on, the spark plugs––which bring your vehicle to life each day––will wear down. When they’ve worn out, the air-fuel mixture may have a hard time getting going.

The result? Your car may start, but the engine won’t run properly. We’ll check the spark plugs to see if they need to be replaced.

Air filters will be replaced, as well. These filters keep pollen, dust, and dirt from reaching the cabin, but they will clog up over time.

If you’ve noticed yourself sneezing or sniffling in your car lately, it might not be just seasonal allergies. It could be that the filter is blocked.
