BMW is the first auto manufacturer to fully-integrate Microsoft Exchange in their vehicles, providing you with a secure, in-vehicle connection to your email accounts. Not only does this help you stifle the temptation to check your smartphone every time it chimes with a new email or appointment, but it makes it convenient to schedule appointments and compose emails via voice control. Plus, incoming emails and appointment changes are safely shown on the vehicle’s Control Display. You can even import meeting addresses into the BMW’s navigation system.
This fall, BMW automobiles will also feature Microsoft’s Skype for Business. It’s run through the vehicle’s iDrive system, with upcoming Skype meetings identified and signaled on the Control Display. When you want to participate in a meeting, simply press the iDrive controller.
