BMW Ultimate Driving Experience Joins Forces with Turner Motorsports
To support the BMW Ultimate Driving Experience, BMW North America has united with the Turner Motorsport BMW M6 GTD Number 96 customer racing team for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar championship races at Road America and Virginia International Raceway.
Privateer drivers Justin Marks and Bret Curtis have been co-driving the vehicle this year with BMW Motorsports driver Jens Klingmann, with Marks and Klingmann sharing a season-best third place finish at Shalen’s Six Hours of the Glen in July. For the Road America and Virginia International Raceway events, former BMW Junior driver Jesse Krohn will co-drive with Klingmann.
The BMW Ultimate Driving Experience provides aficionados the chance to take part in behind-the-wheel driving programs in a full collection of BMW vehicles, with event highlights including an “Ultimate Driver” competition and a BMW Teen Driving school that’s modeled on the program taught at the BMW Performance Centers. Four events remain on the schedule for this year:
- San Francisco, August 11-17
- Dallas, September 2-10
- Chicago, October 14-22
- New York, November 2-12
In a press release, Trudy Hardy, Vice President of Marketing, BMW of North America, declared, “The Ultimate Driving Experience gives drivers from across the country the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a BMW and experience firsthand why our brand is at the top of its class. Further, drivers participating in the teen driving school, autocross or M control clinic will develop their own skills, gaining experience and confidence while learning under the guidance of our BMW Performance Center instructors.”
